As hard as school may be, it’s important.

A few days have passed since part 2…

The school library was silent, mostly because the librarian was strict about being quiet in there. So everyone was either reading a book, studying, or trying to play card games where the librarian couldn’t see them.

GWEN enters the library, holding her phone in one hand. She looked around for a spot where she could write in peace without being questioned. And luckily for her, there was one hidden away in the corner and away from nosy kids.

GWEN was about to head over there when SERIOUS HEART and KELA ‘AUKAI approached her.

SERIOUS HEART:
Aren’t you friends with Lynx?

KELA:
We haven’t seen her in a few days so we were worried about her.

After a few moments of silence, GWEN answered

GWEN:
I don’t know myself.

KELA:
She seemed perfectly fine last time we saw her so we were wondering if she suddenly got sick or something.

SERIOUS HEART:
Some of our teachers were also worried too. You’re like the only person who could know what happened to her but I guess not.

THE LIBRARIAN told them to hush with a cold gaze, so the three of them went on with their own ways.

GWEN sat down at her spot, looking at the address on her phone: EREWHON PRISON FOR SUPERVILLAINS

GWEN: (thinking)
Hope no one asks why I’m writing a letter to a former supervillain.

She pulls out a piece of paper and starts writing on it. The R was curvy from her habits, and each letter seemed to merge with the previous.

Ringmaster Raven

As a monster who changed the entirety of Monster Carnival island, I would like to request your help on a crisis.

GWEN looks around a few times to see if anyone was watching, before continuing to write.

I have a friend, her name is Lynx. A friend just like you who is a monster who knows how dangerous it is to reveal who you truly are. There’s been incidents of monsters being hunted, and she’s definitely going to become a target soon if anyone finds out.

Lynx told me about a secret medicine, one only known to monster kind. I was wondering if you were aware of this, and if you know the recipe for it. I would do anything for my friend.

Even if it means putting myself in danger.

We timeskip to after school, where GWEN runs past a post box and puts her letter to RAVEN inside. Afterwards we see her run towards her house, taking the stairs two at a time.

Days pass since the letter and GWEN is looking outside from her room. The mailman stops outside her house, puts a letter inside the mailbox, and leaves to go to the next house.

GWEN:
Finally!

GWEN runs outside to grab the letter. Like she expected, it’s from RAVEN.

GWEN:
This is one step closer to solving this problem.

GWEN goes back into her house, unaware of a mysterious person on the roof of a house, watching her. They grab their phone and calls someone

???:
I think we found our lead.
